2023 Fall Dance Show

On Nov. 9-11, the Mill Creek Dance Department hosted their semi annual dance show. This year’s theme was Dreamworks and the MC Dance Department showcased their most iconic movies in Act One of their dance showcase.

The beginning of Act One was first period dance performed to various songs from the “Toy Story”. First period’s dance was choreographed by seniors Layla Figures, Reagan Larson, Julia McDonough, and Director Suzanne Muck. Following first period was seventh period performed to songs from “Madagascar”.  This dance was choreographed by dance composition student, Figures. Next was second period and they danced to various songs from the “Sing” soundtrack. Choreographers for this dance were Muck and Hall. Then fourth period danced the “Monsters Inc” soundtrack. The Monsters Inc dance was choreographed by McDonough. Finishing up Act One was sixth period and the performed to songs from the movie “Rio” and was choreographed by Hall.

Starting off Act Two, was first period dance, in which they performed to, “Do It Well,” by Jennifer Lopez and was choreographed by Annie Torres, 12. Next was fourth period performing to, “Dear Future Husband,” by Meghan Trainer and was choreographed by McDonough. Then, seventh period dance performed to, “Fabulous,” by Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel and was choreographed by Figures. Next was Lauren Barry, 12, who performed a ballet solo to Taylor Swift’s, “Snow on the Beach.” After that sixth period dance performed to, “Them Changes,” by Thundercat and was choreographed by Camryn Wilhoit, 12.

Adjacent was second period, who danced to, “Prince,” by Prince and was choreographed by Hall. Following was first period dance, who performed to, “Coastline,” by Hollow Coves and was choreographed by Larson. Then Wilhoit followed with a solo to the song, “My Way,” by Frank Sinatra and was choreographed by Jaelyn Cox. Next up was Hall, who choreographed and performed to, “Get There Soon,” by Geographer. Following was Mill Creek’s JV Dance Team and they performed to, “Never Let Me Go,” by Florence and the Machine and was choreographed by guest choreographer Jennifer Starkman.

Fourth period dance performed to, “The Way I Are,” by Timberland, Kari Hilson and DOE and was choreographed by student choreographers Ella Lee, 12, and Sadie Flammer, 12. Afterwards was seventh period and they performed, “Disturbia,” by Rihanna and was choreographed by Muck. Then Hall and Torres choreographed and performed a duet to, “Burlesque,” by Christiania Aguilera. Following was sixth period dance, in which they performed to, “The Alternative,” by Lyn Lapid and was choreographed by student choreographer Xaria Holt, 12.

Finishing up Act Two was second period that danced to Whitney Houston’s, “Dance With Somebody,” and was choreographed by Muck. Then was first period and they performed to, “Young and Beautiful,” by Lana Del Ray and was choreographed by Hall. Next was sixth period dance, along with guest choreographer Keith Wilder to, “Spice World,” from various artists. Finalizing the 2023 Fall Dance Show was the Mill Creek Dance Department and they performed to, “Boogie Fever,” by The Sylvers and was choreographed by Muck and McDonough.
