“Liars’ Room” is a young adult book written by Dan Poblocki, originally published on January 1, 2021. The book incorporates 228 pages, juggling multiple perspectives, in the third person narration.

Things haven’t been the same for the Hill twins, Stella and Alex, ever since their father passed away. Along with their mother, stepfather, and stepbrother, they move to Wildwyck in Catskill Mountains. A former schoolhouse for misbehaved boys. Simon, their stepbrother, is a liar and is getting harder and harder to ignore. His nonstop ghost stories quickly start to get on the twins’ nerves, and creep into Stella’s dreams. Those same stories along with paranormal activity and pranks that go awry add fuel to the sibling’s rivalry. The more that gets discovered about the Hills’ new home, the more they question about Wildwyck and its history. When a shocking truth is revealed, it’s not clear who can be trusted anymore.

Additional information provided by the book states that, “Dan Poblocki is the author of many books for young people, such as Ghost hunter’s Daughter, The Ghost of Graylock, The Haunting of Gabriel Ashe, The house on Stone’s Throw Island, The book of Bad Things, and the Shadow House series. His stories have thrilled and chilled readers all over the world. In the US, they have won several state reading awards, have been named to the Best Books for Young Adults list by the American Library Association, and have been honored by the Junior Library Guild.”
