Alex Colson, a new teacher at Mill Creek. When asked why he wanted to come to Mill Creek and teach he responded, “Well Gwinnett County is a great district, and I wanted to be a part of that community”. He is also on our Mill Creek Football coaching staff as well. He teaches Algebra 2 here, and hopes to continue to be a part of the Mill Creek community for years.

Originally Mr. Colson is from Florida. He has taught at Lincoln High in Tampa, and two other high schools in Tallahassee. He went to college at Fordham University, in New York and majored in Marketing. When asked where his passion to teach came from he said, “When I came back home from college, my high school football coach reached out to me. He said he knew the kind of person I was, and that he thought teaching and coaching was something I’d love to do, so that’s when I kind of got into teaching”.

Mr. Colson’s coaching life began when he was in college. He got his passion from his former high school coach. He hopes to continue coaching football here at Mill Creek.
