Jayvon Henderson Spotlight
Mill Creek Hawks football player Jayvon Henderson, 12, signed to Eastern Tennessee State University (ETSU) on Wednesday Feb 2. Wednesday marked National Signing Day for high school football players who want to sign with colleges and play college football for the school that they signed with.
Henderson had received scholarship offers from nine schools including the likes of Western Carolina University, Tennessee Tech University, and ETSU. Henderson said the reason why he chose ETSU was, “It’s more like a family atmosphere and more the opportunity of playing there and doing good things.”
Now with the recruiting process over Henderson had this to say, “It feels like a lot of relief off of my back, and I am ready to go to the next level… I have a lot of expectations when I go into college.” All in all Henderson is ready to go off to ETSU and represent Mill Creek while playing football.
