The Mill Creek vs Buford game was the biggest game of the season. Last year Mill Creek football team was undefeated until they played Buford; the score was 39-27. They were broadcasted on ESPN which was a big opportunity and deal for them. The loss last season against them ended up being a redemption for the varsity football team this year.

Mill Creek Linebacker, Josh Anglin, 12, said, “We went into the game just knowing that we needed to focus on ourselves and not the play around the game. The atmosphere was crazy and I felt like we kept our composure very well. Even at times when we were down, we still were uplifting and just kept on playing till the end. And the fact that we were able to win in a game like that was crazy definitely our best team win this season everyone did their job,” Anglin mentioned it was insane playing on ESPN and that a lot of people tuned into the game, “It was good exposure for me and my teammates just to let the world see what we can really do since it was against a nationally ranked team.”

Mill Creek Running Back and Receiver, Malachi Miller, 11, said, “I felt really hyped about the game. I was waiting for Friday to hit the minute we finished our last game. I played good even with limited reps and I was glad we got the win against them. Leaving the score 31-24,” he also mentioned, “the game felt normal although it was the biggest game in Georgia. It was a good experience knowing that the game was on ESPN which could leader to a lot of opportunities in my future of football.”
