International day was a day of celebrating and learning about many countries in our diverse community. The event featured many food dishes and traditions that were able to be shared with those who are unfamiliar with their customs. Several stations involved student’s, parents and other family members that were able to explain about there foreign country.  All cultures have their own artistic traditions ranging from performances or visuals. At our event, students were able to see many performances representing multiple cultures. From traditional dances to heritage instruments all the way to modern pop music was presented. In Addition, there were educational areas with displays to learn more about some of our foreign communities. This event is a collaboration of families, school staff and students from each grade level. Representing their story in a series of presentation tables, each shared their cultures and traditions with the community.
