Spotlight: Adam Conner

Adam Conner is a junior at Mill Creek High School. He is on the Mill Creek Swimming Team, “I started swimming because I found it very rewarding.”

Conner is also in the Pride of Mill Creek Bands, “I started marching band because I really like the camaraderie of the band and how we all come together to make one big show.” He plays the clarinet and has been doing so since he was in the sixth grade.

For college, Conner plans on going to the University of North Georgia to major in orthopedic surgery, “I liked how structured UNG was, and I liked the variety of options even if you don’t want to join the army.” He will be in the ROTC program so he can become an officer in the army. Conner also plans to continue swimming into college.

Conner is in the Civil Air Patrol as a volunteer. The Civil Air Patrol or CAP is an organization of volunteers that assist the U.S. Air Force around the nation. He explains, “Today, we focus on helping the military with aerospace education, leadership training, and cyber security.”

His parents have always pushed him, “My parents because they have always encouraged me to be the best I can,” Conner continues, “Another reason is that I can learn from them as well.”
