Seckinger High School is the new Gwinnett County school opening in the school year 2022-23. The school will be taking students from Mill Creek and Mountain View, helping to relieve some of the overcrowding in the schools.

Seckinger will also be dividing the Mill Creek and Mountain View districts. Mizmor Kim, 11, said on the topic, “The schools were getting way too overcrowded and over populated.”

Kim will be the first graduating class from Seckinger. When asked how she felt about transferring schools her senior year, Kim replied, “I don’t really know, I don’t really care about leaving in senior year.”
With the new curriculum at Seckinger there are new opinions for classes, Kim states,”I feel that there aren’t many classes to choose from.”
