On Friday night our varsity Hawks football team played the Grayson Rams at Markham Field, the final score was 28-14 with our varsity Hawks coming out on top. According to high school sports site Maxpreps starting quarterback Hayden Clark went 19 of 31 for 174 yards passing and rushed for 41 yards on 4 attempts, starting running back Donovan Journey rushed for 64 yards on 22 attempts and starting receiver Mikhail Wood led the team in receiving with 69 yards of receiving on four catches all of these statistics were verified by Hudl. The Hawks defense played well with Caleb Downs leading the team with eight tackles and two of them for a loss, and the defense only allowed a total of 109 yards of offense. The varsity Hawks had put up an impressive showing on Friday night and let us hope that we can keep the win streak alive with our upcoming homecoming game against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on Friday Oct. first.
