On February 14, the teaser trailer for “The Batman” directed by Matt Reeves was released on YouTube. The teaser trailer officially revealed that the new Batman is played by Robert Pattinson, who played Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” movie series.

Some people believe that Pattinson’s past roles will clash too much with his role as Bruce Wayne.

Maya Smith, 10, said, “I just feel like since he played Edward in Twilight, which was a soft-hearted character, seeing him as a hardcore guy like Bruce Wayne just won’t feel natural.”

Others say that Pattinson will succeed as the new Batman

Emily Hassell, 9, said, “I honestly believe Robert Pattinson is an amazing actor. He’s like a younger Ben Affleck, so I’d like to see what he does with the role. Maybe he’ll even win DC an Oscar.”

Other students still want the last Bruce Wayne -Ben Affleck- to continue his role.

Skyler White, 9, said, “DC should get Ben Affleck back. Robert Pattinson will probably suck compared to all the Batmans’ that came before him.”
