Sydney Huisman

Sydney Huisman is a sophomore and likes to spend her time managing the Mill Creek football teams.

Huisman spends everyday after school setting up the fields and tending to injuries, giving up a lot of her free time. As a football team manager, Huisman has many different responsibilities that help Mill Creek’s football team.

“I am here every day after school until 6:00 or 6:30 p.m.,” Huisman said. “It’s very time consuming. I have started to wrap wrists, help with minor wounds, and do pre-game set up.”

There are a couple of reasons Huisman chose to be a manager. Staying in the program throughout high school will be very beneficial to her future plans, even into adulthood with her career.

“I want to be an occupational therapist, and it looks good to colleges,” Huisman said.

She enjoys being part of the managing staff for several reasons, including social and future benefits.

“I get to hang out with friends, do a little bit of sports medicine, and get a glimpse of what I want to do in college,” Husiman said. “I get into every football game for free, and I get to do what I love.”
