New Cheer Coaches

Peyton Oakes

Coach Petty is stepping down as Mill Creek’s cheer coach. The new head spirit coach is Mrs. Corbin who was an assistant coach for Varsity. The new competition head coach is Mrs. Fowler.

To some cheerleaders, the news was not entirely a surprise since some of them knew this was going to happen. In the summer of 2018, all the cheerleaders and coaches went to Great Wolf Lodge in northern Georgia for their retreat. Towards the end of the retreat, Petty had said that it was going to be her last retreat. Cheerleaders are upset about Petty’s retirement from the program but are excited for seasons to come with new head coaches.
