On Dec. 7 and 8, the Mill Creek Theater Department is putting on two one-act plays: Common Grounds and 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse at 7:00 p.m.

The two one-acts have very different plot lines.

“The show will be composed of two once act shows: Common Ground and 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse,” Lizbeth Parra, a sophomore who is in theater, said. “Common Ground follows the stories of different customers in a coffee shop. Ten Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse is more of a comedy that follows the differing approaches to dealing with zombies during the apocalypse.

In order to prepare for the shows, there have been rehearsals for the past couple of weeks after school.

“We [have been rehearsing] during the two weeks leading up two the show,” Parra said. “Rehearsals during the week can last until eight, and it can be challenging to manage my time sometimes.”

Tickets are $7 for students, and they can be purchased from the Mill Creek website on the theater page.
