The Gwinnett County Police Department is currently investigating a homicide on Scholar Drive in Lawrenceville.

According to police, Miguel Osorio, 44, was found dead March 18th in his home after a reported robbery at around 3:30 p.m.

“A female caller at the residence advised the call taker that her husband had been shot during a robbery at the residence,” Gwinnett police officer Jacob Albright said. “When officers arrived they located one male victim, identified as Miguel Osorio, deceased inside the foyer area of the home from a gunshot wound.”

Detectives determined that two male suspects entered the home with guns and tied up Osorio, his wife, and his 19-year-old daughter

“After being tied up, Osorio broke free and that is when he was shot by one of the suspects,” Albright said.

The suspects fled the residence, firing more shots toward the house, but no one else was injured. Authorities say the suspects were seen getting into a gold or tan SUV where a third suspect, the driver, was waiting.

Investigators obtained the photo of the champagne 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe from a surveillance camera in the neighborhood.

Detectives still need help identifying the suspects and the vehicle.
