Driver’s Ed Information

As the school year starts off, Driver’s ED courses are becoming available for registration.

Driver’s ED is a course that can be taken at Mill Creek or online and is a requirement for students to get their licenses. According to the Mill Creek website, participants must pay $345, sign a Driver’s Education contract, and provide a copy of their learner’s permit.

Currently, there are three classes that are open for registration. The first class begins on September 9th and runs to October 7th on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There are two other courses that go on after school Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. One class begins on September 18th and ends on September 29th, and the other starts on October 16th and ends on October 27th.

Throughout the course, participants accumulate 30 hours of classroom instruction, six hours of driving instruction, and six hours of driving observation. They also take the final exam portion of their driver’s test on the last day of class, so they don’t have to take it at the DMV.
